FAQs

What are the ground conditions and what should I wear?
We’re a working farm, so the ground can be uneven and muddy. Sensible footwear is essential – wellies and raincoats are highly recommended. Pumpkin plants can be prickly, so we advise children to have arms and legs covered.

Is it accessible for prams/wheelchairs?
Some visitors with sturdy prams and wheelchairs have managed in previous years. However, it really depends on the ground conditions on the day, so we can’t guarantee access.

Are their toilet facilities available?
Yes – toilets will be located near the field. Unfortunately, baby changing facilities are only available in the Garden Centre.

Will the pumpkins last until Halloween if bought early?
Yes – if stored correctly! Uncarved pumpkins can last for weeks. Keep them somewhere frost-free and well-ventilated (shed, garage, or outdoors). Once carved, pumpkins usually last 3–5 days outside.

Are dogs allowed?
Sorry, no dogs are allowed in the pumpkin fields. However, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the car park field.

Do you provide wheelbarrows?
Yes – wheelbarrows are available on a first come, first served basis. We also suggest bringing a large bag for life in case all the wheelbarrows are in use.

Do you have a cafe onsite?
Yes – there will be a catering trailer in the pumpkin fields most days. You can also enjoy a sit-down meal or snack at our Strawberry Fields Restaurant in the Garden Centre on the same site.
