News From The Farm November 2019

Our Pick Your Own Pumpkins and Spooky Maize Maze has been extremely busy again this year. The weather was not really on our side this time and unfortunately we did have to close a couple of days earlier than planned due to land damage and limited numbers of pumpkins. Thank you to all who visited and we look forward to welcoming you back this time next year. The maize will now be cut and harvested ready to be made into winter cattle feed.

The potato harvest is now completed, so we are settling into the winter routine of grading them out of the store to ensure a good supply for the Farm Shop over the winter months.

At the moment we have available in the Farm Shop homegrown potatoes, onions, carrots and cabbages. Large sacks of onions and potatoes are also available to buy in the Farm Shop, bulk buy and save money! We should have some more cauliflowers coming through this month too.

Our homegrown sprouts are coming along nicely and will soon be available in the Farm Shop so put them on your shopping list for your Christmas dinner!

We will soon be making a start on ploughing the fields ready for next year’s crops. When we have any spare time we will continue with fruit pruning, hedge trimming and general winter maintenance.
