News From The Farm June 2023

The first of our strawberries should be ready soon and will be available to buy from the Farm Shop. They are a little later ripening this year. As soon as we are ready to open Pick Your Own we will let you know on our website and Facebook page.

Unfortunately, there won’t be any PYO gooseberries this year as we have had to plant a new crop which will be ready for next year. However peas and broad beans are back for 2023. Our raspberries are growing well and should be ready to pick sometime in July.

Our asparagus and rhubarb will finish soon, there will then be a gap before the Summer crops are ready. Potatoes, onions and carrots are growing well but they are a long way from being ready.

Pumpkin plants have grown well undercover and will be planted out this month ready for PYO Pumpkins in October. The ground has been prepared for planting so it will be all hands on deck getting them in the ground. The Maize Maze will also be planted this month.
