News From The Farm July 2020

Another year when our strawberries were ready earlier than normal. All the lovely lockdown sunshine helped!

Homegrown produce available in the Farm Shop include strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries. These are subject to availability.

The field raspberry crop is looking good although we have had to water them a little. Lovely juicy large berries will be ready for us to pick soon. Cauliflowers and broccoli should be ready and available in the Farm Shop in the next couple of weeks.

The potato crop is looking good and will probably be ready mid August. Onions and carrots are also growing well and should be ready to harvest September time.

We have planted plenty of pumpkins to make sure we have enough for our very popular Pick Your Own pumpkins which will hopefully be able to open in October.

The Maize Maze is enjoying all the rain and sunshine and growing well. We don’t think we will be able to open it this summer but it will be ready for you in October.

Jobs around the farm are shifting from planting crops to harvesting them and keeping everything watered.
