September 2017 News from the farm

Our Maize Maze has been a great success this August. It will be open again with a spooky theme from the 21st October until 31st October.

We open up the PYO pumpkin field on the same date both the maze and pumpkin fields will be open everyday 10am until 4pm. (Subject to weather conditions).

Our Pumpkins are growing nicely and ripening well, but almost too well so they may be available in the Farm Shop a little earlier this year.

The main potato harvesting will start this month, although we have already started to lift some of the Marfona. Onions will be lifted this month to dry in the store ready for sale at the end of month.

We will soon be selling our carrots, onions and potatoes by the sack, this is an excellent way of saving money by buying in bulk.

Winter cabbage and sprouts are heading to maturity and should be ready by late October early November.

The seasonal Farm staff will soon be heading back to college for the new term and the remaining team will be focusing on harvesting and grading the crops that are ready.
