November 2017 News From The Farm

Our Pick Your Own Pumpkins and Spooky Maize Maze have been a great success this year. The maize will now be cut and harvested ready to be made into winter cattle feed.

The autumn harvesting is nearly all completed, so we are settling into the winter routine of grading potatoes and onions out of the store to ensure a good supply for the Farm Shop over the winter months. We will soon be making a start on ploughing the fields ready for next year’s crops and building new poly tunnels for strawberries and raspberries.

At the moment we have several varieties of cabbage including tundra, spring, January king, savoy, white and red. Cauliflowers are now available in the Farm Shop and will hopefully last until early December. Large sacks of onions and red and white potatoes are available to buy in the Farm Shop. Bulk buy and save money!

Our homegrown sprouts are coming along nicely and will soon be available in the Farm Shop so put them on your shopping list for your Christmas dinner!

When we have a spare moment we will continue with hedge trimming and general winter maintenance around the Farm.
